Dividend stock have been somewhat resilient for first 8 months of the years despite S&P dropping 20%.
Now dividend stocks are dropping 1.5X compare to S&P.
not sure which dividend stock you are talking about but my portfolio still outperform the S&P 500
I have similar portfolio as yours.
When S&P was down 21%, dividend portfolio was down about 6%.
When S&P further dropped to 24%, dividend portfolio dropped to 11.2%
Now dividend portfolios are dropped 1.5x to S&P as they stayed relatively strong for first 8 months.
I’m still outperform the S&P500 🙂
